Shia LaBeouf’s father a registered sex offender

According to a new report in Star magazine, Shia LaBeouf‘s father, Jeffrey LaBeouf, 63, is a registered sex offender who served a jail sentence between 1981 and 1983 after being convicted of attempted rape. Because of his conviction, he’s listed on the California division of the Megan’s Law website, a public access website that lists sex offenders living in the United States. A spokesman for the Attorney General’s office told Star magazine that “the Megan’s Law website is 100% accurate. If a person is on that website, they are a sex offender.” The magazine doesn’t say whether Shia knows this about his father, but he does know that Jeffrey was allegedly accused of sexually harassing an actress on the Disney TV show that made Shia famous — Even Stevens. In an interview with the British paper The Sun last year, Shia spoke about his absentee dad, admitting, “My father was never around because he was selling drugs,” adding that Jeffrey only took an interest after Shia landed a starring role on Even Stevens. He explained: “I rented my dad back into my life… Money gave me my father,” he said. “If I had no money… I would have no father.”

Seriously thou, that’s kind of sad if true, Dad basing a relationship with his son solely on money. Very Shallow indeed, Not sure if I would want that kind of father around at all.

You think its Kind of sad? I think it is downright very sad. I heard that too last year and I felt really bad for him! Buying your Dad into your life is Not the way to have a relationship with him. I Didn’t have a very good Dad either. BUT he was there for me Once like no other ever has been! I turned out like my Mother and Grandmother. Like having a Pure <3 as possible. I feel for what Mr. La Beouf must be going through!

I was at a taping of an interview with Shia and he said, at the time of taping, that his father was living in his garage…that his parents were bonifide hippies. He did what he had to to be noticed at school, probably because he had no one noticing him at home…He is a loose cannon with issues…we will be reading something shocking in the news regarding Shia sooner or later…good luck to him.

Good on Shia for doing what he has. This is one of those weird situations where you think, ‘gee, the kid had it tough’. But the fact is, his upbringing got him to where he is.

Shia is no angel. His dad is a creep but Shia is no angel.

We don’t get to choose our parents, unfortunately. But this gives insight into why Shia is a troubled young man.

It is very sad that any kind of news paper or magazine wold want to report such personal things about any star. That his father is such a shallow person, so what the main thing is that Shia should just move on with his life! His life is his to live NOT someone else. Take care Shia!

Regardless of what Shia’s father has done….this has what to do with Shia? Shia is his own man and is a better man than his father. Shia needs counselling to find out why he thinks he needs to pay this perverted nobody to be in his life.

We cannot blame the son for the sins of the father. Shia, it won’t be hard for you to be a better man than he was. Just because he is the man who impregnated your mother, does not make him your “father”. Walk away. You don’t need this in your life.

He along with anybody with an internet browser is aware of it now. First I heard of Shia. Guess I’ll have to get out there and see something of his. I’m shocked that people are shocked that Ozzie & Harriet days are long gone.

It seems that everyone has an opinion. If it wasn’t for instant information, nobody would know any of this about Shia. He has to find his way like any person, however, being in the spot light just makes it that much harder. Not fun being essentially an open book. Actors choose this and know the consequences of being famous one day. Good luck Shia, life is hard enough without the fame.

Good time for a sad story about Shia, you know, with all his douchey behavior this year and getting his ass kicked again recently.

Lol, Lily. Life’s hard enough without getting paid millions to pretend.
