Sienna Miller has just confirmed she’s set to play Maid Marian alongside Russell Crowe’s Sheriff of Nottingham in the new remake of Robin Hood. “I just found out,” she told the BBC. “It’s the most exciting news in the world. It’s ridiculous.” The only thing in her way? A looming actors strike. “It’s not 100 percent sure that it’s going to be made, but it’s looking pretty certain,” she enthused. Miller, who is currently promoting her new film The Edge of Love in London, says working with Crowe and director Ridley Scott is “as good as it gets.” Miller is sure to get a few tongues wagging when she hits the screen in Nottingham, a twist on the classic story, with the Sheriff cast as a sympathetic figure up against a not-so-heroic Robin Hood, both of whom are embroiled in a love triangle with Maid Marion. The movie is tentatively set for a 2009 release.
