Sigourney Weaver mistaken for man

Sigourney Weaver has revealed she was once pursued by a girl who thought she was a man. Considered one of Hollywood’s most beautiful and talented women, the 60-year-old says when she was a young girl starting out her career as a stage actress she was sometimes mistaken for a member of the opposite sex. Because of her height, Sigourney was once cast in a male role in a play and a female fan chased her down the street. “In one show, I remember that I played Rudolph Valentino, and I came in on a motorcycle and did a whole Elvis thing, and I was chased by a girl,” she laughed in an interview with the website Collider. “I kept saying, ‘I’m a girl! I’m a girl! Look, I’m a girl!’ It was just funny,” she recalled. Nowadays Sigourney experiences no such problems, and earlier this week was seen looking glamorous at the premiere of her new comedy You Again, where she and co-star Jamie Lee Curtis turned up in matching blue dresses.
