The “muy caliente” Sofia Vergara may have gone to Mexico to celebrate her birthday, but it turns out that wasn’t all she would be celebrating. A surprise to almost everyone after their reported break up only two months ago, Modern Family star Vergara and boyfriend Nick Loeb did a complete 180 and got engaged this past week. On the eve of Sofia’s 40th birthday, Loeb popped the question at a dinner with her family and friends at the Rosewood Mayakoba in Riviera Maya. Nick Loeb will become a stepdad to Sofia’s 19-year-old son, Manolo, from her first marriage to childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez. ~Morgan Bates
