Space thriller launches this week’s new releases

A-list stars will attract movie lovers to the theaters this weekend. The biggest film hitting screens is Gravity, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this year and is expected to be popular with audiences. Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake join forces in the thriller, Runner Runner. The film digs deep into the online world of gambling, pairing a Princeton student and the owner of a poker website. Also opening today is the drama Parkland. The film revolves around the aftermath of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas. Kristen Wiig shines in the new comedy, Girl Most Likely. If you’re a Bridesmaids fan, then this film will be right up your alley. If none of these films appeal to you, then high school horror flick All the Boys Love Mandy Lane also releases in select cities this weekend. Amber Heard sizzles as Mandy Lane on the big screen, even piling a few corpses along the way.
