Spears’ sons to be tested for marijuana

Britney SpearsBritney Spears has requested that her sons be tested for marijuana because she believes her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, smokes the illegal drug in their presence. She claims she can smell the drug in their hair after visits to their father and she’s asking for a court-appointed monitor to test two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James. Federline stands to lose full physical custody if the tests come back positive. A friend of Federline told Life & Style magazine: “Kevin smokes a lot of pot. But he never smokes around the kids.”

You smell it on there hair? When?…when you hand them to your nanny? Pot smoke does not stick to cloths and hair the way tobacco does. He would have to be smoking a crap-load IN there presence to make that effect.

  2. Anonymous • December 20, 2007 @ 1:41 PM

I commlety disagree with that comment!!!
Pot smells a whole heck of alot more!!!
She needs to get her act together however he is no role model for any of his children!!!!!

  3. Nancy • December 20, 2007 @ 3:07 PM

POT SMELLS LIKE SH!T!!!!!!! My boyfriend smokes that crap in front of me all the time and YES, I go home stinking of it!!

  4. Nancy • December 20, 2007 @ 4:12 PM

Another thing – Isn’t it illegal to smoke pot? Now that the whole world knows that Kev smokes pot, wouldn’t the police arrest him for smoking pot???

  5. Anonymous • December 20, 2007 @ 4:18 PM

I’m sure Kevin isn’t that stupid to smoke around his kids. So i believe his friend.

  6. sk8tergirl • December 20, 2007 @ 5:36 PM

    Since when does Britney care???

  7. Anonymous • December 20, 2007 @ 6:44 PM

One drinks, one tokes – 6 of one, half dozen of the other. They are both pathetic losers and the kids shouldn’t be subjected to either.

Nothing Spears says now is formulated in her tiny brain matter. It is her lawyers directing her comments and they will draw public opinion against her ex which will sway court.

The main thing the blood sucking lawyers will do is drag this out collect and solve nothing.

With the IQ’s of the two parents involved they will figure this out just as they are collecting their first food stamps.

If anyones boy friend is smoking pot in front of her, why isn’t she reporting it? It is still an illegal substance isn’t it? He’s a loser. Look for someone better. Also if K. Federline is a user, how has he got custody of the children? I’ve been a Foster Parent. I’ve raised newborns who are addicted to Cocaine. Crack Cocaine. Heroine, and the worst, Methadone. Ask me about it.

why would I want to ask you about anything you sound very opinionated and very one sided

there are always 3 sides to every story

    your, mine and the truth

but you dont want thetruth you want to judge others

I don’t think either one of them right now is fit to raise the kids.. don’t give them to Lynne, she obviously has no idea to raise a child. Someone should step in and make sure these kids are taken care of. Just because you are famous doesn’t make everything okay (doing illegal drugs OR partying and getting drunk every night)when there are kids involved. K-Fed and Brit should beware or the state may take over soon@!

  12. crappy • December 21, 2007 @ 11:16 AM

Wow! I agree with Arnold. This is the lawyers and/or nannies as the parent’s aren’t smart or mentally capable (at least any longer) of this type of backstabbing.

I fear and pray for the children (theirs and others in similar situations) as they are the ones losing out. They are the ones who have to break the cycle when they get older.

I hope either parent/lawyer is putting money away for them when they get older. I’m sure they would want out as soon as legally possible. I would.

It’s funny to hear all these peoples comments when they know nothing about it. And its funny too, because Americans have a totally different view from Canadians (in general, im not saying anyone specific).

I agree with a lot of people here; children should definitely not be exposed to that type of situation. I think it’s alright if you’re out with friends for a night (no where near your young children), and have a little smoke…but bringing it around, and smoking a lot of it when you have parenting obligations is very serious. It’s time to start smartening up….especially when you’re in the spot light!

I do feel bad for the kids though. Both parents don’t seem very reliable. (but we’ve only seen pictures and half-truths.)

Second hand smoke is second hand smoke. Even if he dose not smoke in there presence, the fact is if he dose smoke and then have them visit while he’s high it is a dangerous situation. The uncertainty and upheaval coming from divorced parents is bad enough, but having to grow up with alcohol and drugs is not easy and can lead to devastating circumstances. It is hard enough to watch two little ones when your not high. I wish the court would insist they both take parenting classes.

  15. Ximena • December 21, 2007 @ 12:15 PM

I believe she is doing the right thing in having her children tested and I don’t understand how the legal system could have giving those kids to that low life of a father.

  16. 2legit2quit • December 21, 2007 @ 12:22 PM

They should test Brit-Brit at the same time. $50 says she’s been toking on the magic pipe as well.

This way neither one of them will have custody, and maybe Brangelina will feel sorry for them and adopt the kids.
Why outsource to Africa when you can get quality damaged goods locally?

  17. Anonymous • December 21, 2007 @ 12:47 PM

If this was bob and mary from down the street no one would care!!!!! this stuff happens all the time in the real world. these two need to be left alone so they can get their act together without being scrutanized every little step of the way. None of us would come out smelling like roses if we were watched and reported on every second.

  19. browny • December 21, 2007 @ 5:48 PM

$100 bucks that magic pipe isn’t the only thing in her system.

  20. Anonymous • December 21, 2007 @ 7:59 PM

i think all parties need to grow up and act responsible, this is getting so rediculious. So if he loses custody where do the kids go? Back to britney? God help them. Both parents are unfit for these children and the best thing would be for them to be taken away.

  21. gardenofeve • December 21, 2007 @ 8:59 PM

Britney knew what her boyfriend was like before she married him..they MAY have planned to never drink or smoke in front of their children..but tell me..how many of US really do these things for our babies aka quitting cold turkey?.. bravo to those few..
It is a shame these famous kids do have so much to deal with on their tiny plates.. (Who ever wrote this article PLEASE replace the word IS, with IF the tests come back.. What were YOU smokin’ or drinkin’ while workin’ and are the kids in your care?..

  22. me • December 21, 2007 @ 9:30 PM

Both parents are total f**k ups, and neither should ever be alone with these two sweet little boys. They should be in foster care. They are in a very dangerous situation, and if the courts don’t get those kids away from their parents, and soon, something terrible is going to happen. I’ve known kids who have been in this type of situation, and they don’t break the cycle when they grow up, they usually end up worse than their parents because they are so messed up. It’s so sad.

  23. Arnold • December 21, 2007 @ 10:19 PM

The IQ’s of the parents + the greed of the lawyers + the media overblowing every minute detail = at least 12 articles in the next 14 days on this site pertaining to Spears.

  24. Nancy • December 21, 2007 @ 11:10 PM

    Yeah, but WHICH Spears????

I am Canadian, and here in Ontario….if one parent is psychologically tested or drug tested by the court then the other parent has to be as well. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander!

So, basically, K-Feds so-called friend just cheesed him off for being a stoner in the presence of the children. Looks good on you…STONER!! I mean, you have custody of the children and yet your ‘friend’ has a tell-all moment and says that you smoke ALOT of pot…hmmm…let me see….2+2=STONED CHILDCARE PROVIDER!!!! Now the sh*t is going to hit the fan, isn’t it???!!!

  25. Nancy • December 21, 2007 @ 11:13 PM

Oh, and Joshua….the smell of pot sticks to EVERYTHING!! And you can be guaranteed that Britney’s cash is buying the best ‘skunk’ in LA!!!!

  26. Nancy • December 21, 2007 @ 11:19 PM

I also see that we now have a new Nancy on here!

  27. MJlover • December 22, 2007 @ 1:40 AM

Marijuana isn’t as harmful as many seem to make it out to be. It’s actually good for arthritic pain and in Canada you can legally get a prescription for it. It may affect your memory short term, but it is a peace loving drug and a natural substance, unlike alcohol which can cause liver disease and dependence amongst other serious consequences. I know many people who smoked this “illegal” substance who turned out to be good citizens and never resorted to other or more harsher drugs like cocaine or crime. I was an honors student and I smoked it alot. It never did me any harm. That story is so old that it needs to stop being told. Get with the program. This is the year 2007. Marijuana does not make Kevin a bad parent.

  28. Nancy • December 22, 2007 @ 2:17 AM

Being on any illegal drug while taking care of your children makes you a bad parent! Yeah, you keep trying to convince yourself that there is nothing wrong with it, but you won’t convince me! Marijuana does not make him a bad parent, no, but being on it when he is supposed to be there 110% physically and MENTALLY for those two boys does, especially if their clothing and hair does smell like pot!

Yes, in Canada you can legally get a prescription for medical marijuana….but it is nowhere near as potent as the stuff you get on the street illegally!! You said it yourself….”it may affect your memory short-term”. When raising children your memory should not be affected at all by illegal substances!

  29. Sick and Tired • December 22, 2007 @ 8:22 AM

Please get those two boys into foster care,NOW!!

  30. joe • December 22, 2007 @ 2:11 PM

Heh Nancy, if you do not like your boyfriend smoking pot, get another boyfriend!

  31. Glass Houses • December 22, 2007 @ 3:38 PM

I would be interested to see how the majority of commentors would stand up to public criticism themselves. Everyone makes mistakes and people should take a little more interest in their own lives and the lives of their families instead of being so infatuated with celebrities. No parents are perfect, but go ahead and throw the first stone since it seems so easy.

  32. me • December 22, 2007 @ 11:23 PM

“Glass Houses”, you seem to be on the wrong site. Why don’t you go find yourself a nice little religious site to preach on?
Maybe the original Nancy should change to “Nancy1”? Also, Nancy, I’ve been reading your comments for a long time, you’re too good for a guy that smokes pot around you, ditch him and get someone worthwhile. You deserve better than that sh*t.
Oh yeah, “Glass Houses”, you said everyone makes mistakes. True. BUT what Brit & Kev have done are NOT “mistakes”, they are “stupid choices made by pathetic losers”.

  33. Glass Houses • December 23, 2007 @ 2:46 AM

like I said, glass houses. And since I’m not religious in the least, going to a religious site wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense for me, now would it? I have my doubts that you have no “stupid choices” under your belt. As a matter of fact I’m absolutely positive. Nobody’s perfect. But hey, have a merry xmas and keep thinking that taking peoples kids away is the best thing for everyone 🙂

  34. Anonymous • December 23, 2007 @ 12:15 PM

man…brit is sinking to a new low….she will do anything with her money to try and bring Kevin down now that she has lost everything…..two wrongs don’t make a right but I bet you anything that brit is a hypocrite and smokes the stuff also along with many other type of drugs. Leave the kids with Kevin man….at least he has her family and gets the children with their other half-siblings. What does Britney give to them…..hatred for her side of the family…..and they would not see the other two kids who are their half-siblings man……I work for the foster system and it is a BIG gamble to have the kids away from their natural father, extended family over POT!!!!! Grow up Brit!!!!!!!!!

  35. emily • December 23, 2007 @ 3:28 PM

Brits just speakin shit : she’ll find anythig to get attention and try to create a higher self-esteem by lowering her husband (or trying) just so that she looks like a good mom… well sorry brit, i give you :-210 % as a good mom. 🙁

  36. Mary • December 23, 2007 @ 4:10 PM

Kevin Federline is no angel. Have you forgotten how he left his pregnant girlfriend to be with Britney. As far as he goes he was looking for a soft touch and found it with Britney. Would she be in the mess she’s in if she hadn’t hooked up with the giggolo. She geve him the good life he wants to keep it that way by getting custody of their children, this way he gets all themoney in support payments to keep himself living in the high style he’s become accustomed to.As far as referring to her as trailer trash. Who are you people? I know plenty of people who live in trailer communities and they are far from being trailer trash. Britney has made some very bad choices since her breakup and I hope she’ll grow up and learn from her mistakes, stop giving all your support to the asshole who helped contribute to her downfall.

  37. Anonymous • December 23, 2007 @ 10:01 PM

what kills me is if you abuse an animal, the humane society comes in and takes the animal away, finds it a new home and sometimes is successful in charging the abuser.

wish it could be that easy when bad parenting is sooooooo obvious.

  38. Minerva • December 24, 2007 @ 2:15 AM

It’s all in personal choice to choose to date a low-life pot puffin fellah over a clean livin talented level grounded gal. And it’s all in personal choice to either smoke pot or slug back booze on a daily basis. So if those poor kids don’t get high on daddy’s second hand toke smoke, they sure gotta get knocked flying for a loop from the booze on mama’s breath. I’d say Britney is the last one to fingerpoint or profess to be the protective parent. But sometimes the people willing to settle for less fingerpoint what’s right, or should, or shouldn’t be in other’s lifestyles. Clearly, those kids need to be put into a responsible environment and have a chance of being raised safely, and decently.

  39. Nancy • December 24, 2007 @ 5:27 PM

I am the original Nancy (yup, that’s me….the queen of controversy). My name shows up in blue on my comments. Thanks for what you said. Remember when I was accused by someone that I was you and you were….well…”me”? hahahahaha. Nah, I would never put up with some sh*t head smokin’ that crap in front of me! I mean, not if he likes his freakin’ teeth where they are!! LOL – no joke!

click on my name and have a very Merry Christmas!
