Sylvester StalloneSylvester Stallone pled guilty in a letter Tuesday morning in an Australian court to bringing restricted muscle-building hormones into the country. Sentencing will take place next week. Stallone was not present at the hearing. “I made a terrible mistake, not because I was attempting to deceive anyone but I was simply ignorant to your official rules,” Stallone said in a letter to Sydney’s Local Court. “I feel terrible that my breach of the rules has set a poor example to members of the public, whose opinion I cherish dearly.” Stallone was in Australia to promote his film Rocky Balboa, when an airport customs search revealed 48 vials of Jintropin, a human growth hormone, in his luggage. Several days later, during a search of his hotel room, Stallone threw four vials of the male hormone testosterone out of the window. Stallone faces up to $18,500 for each charge and five years in prison.
