Taylor Lautner to join cast of BBC’s Cuckoo

Taylor Lautner will be joining the cast of the British comedy Cuckoo in its second season. The Twilight actor will star as a mysterious new guy who’s about to change the characters’ lives. Following Andy Samberg‘s exit from the hit show due to other commitments, Taylor will enter the picture and the second season will pick up two years after Andy’s character disappears. In the first season, Andy Samberg played Dale ‘Cuckoo’ Ashbrook, the eccentric son-in-law. BBC Three’s Zai Bennett showed his enthusiasm about the show’s newest addition, saying: “I’m delighted to welcome it back with the addition of superstar Taylor Lautner.” Cuckoo, which is filmed at Pinewood Studios just outside of London, first aired in September 2012. The sitcom broke records and became the most-watched comedy launch in the channel’s history. A date for the season two premiere has not yet been announced. ~Yara Matar
