Taylor Swift attacks Joe Jonas’ girlfriend

Taylor Swift, who writes songs about her relationship failures, has written not only an accusatory one aimed at John Mayer (“Dear John“), but yet another song about Joe Jonas dumping her (the first was “Forever & Always”). She’s apparently still bitter about Joe, who broke off with her via phone two years ago. She’s just released a new album called “Speak Now” and the song “Better Than Revenge” is clearly about actress Camilla Belle, whom Joe dated after Taylor. The lyrics include: “She took him faster than you can say sabotage” and “She’s an actress/But she’s better known for the things that she does on the mattress.” The line “C’mon show me how much better you are” refers to a song Joe wrote about Camilla called “Much Better.” Taylor’s song also includes: “I think her ever present frown is a little troubling/And, she thinks I’m psycho.” She isn’t the only one, Taylor. It was two years ago, it’s time to get over it and stop attacking other people in your songs. Your obsession with Joe is a little troubling and speaks clearly as to why he probably decided to end the relationship. ~Alexandra Heilbron

It’s pretty trashy to write lyrics like that. She probably doesn’t even know Camilla, she’s just jealous of her.

    A) Taylor swift cant even sing. B) i think she is kind of crazy if she is STILL writing songs about failed relationships. Whats this one about John Mayer, DId they even date??

I think its stupid that people are assuming these songs are about these specific people, these songs could be from situations years ago. The hidden message in this song was ” you thought I would forget “. Why would that be about Camilla?
You gets are all dumb, regardless.
She writes good music or she wouldn’t be famous, get over it.
If I wrote songs for the world, you bet your as s I would write them about people who tried bringing me down and didn’t succeed.

I agree with chantell. Its lame how people make these things way more than they are. And she’s only 20 for pete’s sake and many people do not get over break ups fast or forgive people who screw them over. I definitely vouch that many her songs are wise beyond her years (e.g. fifteen, tim mcgraw). People are just trying to make her sound petty cause they are jealous of her success.

I think tribute should stop putting their personal feelings in their articles… it’s a story not a blog….

Chantell, how was Jonas trying to bring her down? He decided they weren’t compatible, and broke up with her. It happens to everyone, it doesn’t mean someone is trying to bring you down. And if two years later, she’s still bitter about it to the point of writing another song to let us all know, if he had been trying to bring her down, he must have succeeded. If not, it would just be a distant memory to her instead of something she has to parade in front of the world.

uh hello, she has been working on this CD for 2 years, maybe she wrote the song two years ago! It is a fantastic song, and not petty at all. I think every person has felt the exact same way about a relationship ending because another person entered the picture. Get over yourself Tribute. Besides you have no idea if the song is actually about Camilla.. it could be about someone else. so stop making assumptions.

    I agree with Chantell and 123. :)))))

She said so herself that Speak Now is her diary. You can’t tell her what to do and what not. Let her live her life on her own. Besides, do you know her personally? How can you say that this song is written for her, that song is written for him, blah, blah, blah. Wait until she tells you herself. One more thing, if you don’t like her music, why waste your time listening to it? To find flaws so you can shove it to her face? Pfft.

it was two years ago Taylor, get over yourself

This is a blog, 123. I prefer it when writers put a little of their personality into an article (like Perez or TMZ), it makes it more down to earth and like it’s a friend chatting to us, rather than a news article devoid of personality just reporting the news. Keep up the good work Tribute!

    Agreed, Samantha!

People, you need to calm down a bit. she most likely wrote the song when it all happened which was like two years ago-if its even about camilla or whatever. just because she put these songs on her recent album doesn’t mean she feels the way she did when she wrote the song! we all have our moments where we need to let things out AT THAT MOMENT and thats just how she does it. she cant just write all these songs and throw them all on an album and release it in the midst of all these events. stop telling her to get over herself! just cool it. its a great song and album. I’m glad she writes songs like this!

If she wrote the song 2 yrs. ago good for her for saying what she wanted. I never heard the song but saying something about ‘what she does on the mattress’ is None of our business and I Won’t listen to this song because I don’t need to hear stuff that thats personal.

It maybe not all Camilla’s fault she went with Mr. Jonas. Maybe He broke up with Miss Taylor. It’s not always the womens fault. But if she wrote it 2 years ago it still maybe hurts her. I condem Mr. Jonah’s way that he broke up with her! Over the phone?? That’s pretty harsh! She Deserved more Respect then that!

WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!Tailor is much prettier and TALENTED the Camilla!!!!!!hrmfand i think chantell is perfectly right,,,,the songs that tailor wrote are not about those people that are around him,,,I think some people out their are a little bit pathetic to assume that the her songs are all about those people around her….
