The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons is gay

By Tribute on May 25, 2012 | 9 Comments

Sheldon Cooper would be proud. The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons has officially come out of the closet after much media speculation. In a lengthy profile on the actor for The New York Times, Parsons’ sexuality is casually addressed when discussing his role in the stage production The Normal Heart, in which he plays a young gay activist in the fight against AIDS. “The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels,” the article reads. “Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said.” The two-time Emmy winner’s sexuality has been subject to speculation for years since breaking out on the hit CBS sitcom. The talk was fueled earlier this year when he thanked his long-term partner Todd Spiewak in an acceptance speech after winning the Best Lead Actor in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) award at the Golden Globes however, nothing had been publicly confirmed until now. ~Kyle Sharp

I thought this was already a well known fact. I mean if he thanked his partner… On another note, this guy’s ageless. I think he’s like 40 or something. Crazy.

  7. Brenda • May 26, 2012 @ 7:09 PM

Does this matter anymore…the guy is funny, who cares about his personal life

He’s awesome, no matter if he’s straight or gay. Screw the sexuality and the personal life, just focus on the acting and everything will be ok 🙂

Any celebrity……personal life will become public one day……I don’t see anything negative with this storyline, Parsons openly confirms his lifestyle and so there you have it…
