The Croods box office champions

Oz: The Great and Powerful has been bumped out of the number one spot. The Croods, the DreamWorks and 20th Century Fox animated film, pulled in an estimated $44.7 million and claimed the top spot. It had a strong opening with Tribute users, who rated it 4.5 out of 5 stars. The movie features the voice work of Emma Stone and Canadian Ryan Reynolds. Olympus Has Fallen was a surprising overachiever, taking second place with $30.5 million over its opening weekend. The White House-set action movie from FilmDistrict stars Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman, and has a rating of 3.75 stars from Tribute users. Oz: the Great and Powerful, which slipped down the ratings this week, ended in third place with an additional $22 million and a user rating of 4 stars. The Call stayed in the top 5 at fourth place with $8.7 million and a Tribute user rating of 4.3 stars. ~Cassie Jasinski
