The Jungle Book is currently the fourth highest-earning film of the year domestically, internationally, and globally and follows in the steps of Zootopia to become Disney’s second 2016 release to cross the $700 million mark.
In China, the film has earned a total of $138.8 million to become Disney’s third biggest release in the country. In India, where the movie is set, it’s the highest-grossing Hollywood release of all time with $34.4 million.
Directed by Jon Favreau and featuring newcomer Neel Sethi as Mowgli and an all-star voice cast including Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walken, The Jungle Book enjoys a stellar 94% Certified Fresh rating at RottenTomatoes and holds a viewer rating of 4.5 stars at Tribute.ca.
