The Mirror fakes Robert Pattinson interview

The UK newspaper The Mirror has published a fake interview with Robert Pattinson, in which he claims to be single. In addition to spelling Twilight incorrectly in the headline, they claim Pattinson is in Vancouver filming The Twilight Saga: New Moon (he’s filming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse). The article quotes Pattinson as saying, “I don’t have a girlfriend. I don’t know why. You always think you’re going to get more girls after you’ve made a movie and it never happens. You sit there and you’re like ‘I’m a big movie star and I want to go out with some models’ but I don’t know why that doesn’t happen.” Pattinson is, in fact, dating one of his Twilight co-stars (early reports said it was Nikki Reed, but currently evidence points to Pattinson’s leading lady, Kristen Stewart), according to numerous sources including Jennie Garth, the wife of Twilight actor Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen). Gossipcop.com obtained an exclusive statement from Pattinson’s rep, who said, “I will only comment on matters regarding Robert’s professional life, but in order to set the record straight, Robert did not speak to the Mirror, and their claim that they spoke to him a few days ago is manufactured along with any information that they claim to have as an exclusive directly from him.”
