This Is It gets extended run

This Is ItThough it was originally only scheduled to run in theaters for two weeks, it was just announced that Michael Jackson’s This Is It will continue to play in theaters throughout November. Jeff Blake, the chairman of Sony Pictures, explained in a press release: “In just 5 days, Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT has become the highest grossing concert film of all time and we are elated by the response to this special film by fans, critics and moviegoers from all over the world. With this kind of global response, it’s clear that the motion picture deserves an extended run and we are going to do everything we can to make the film available to everyone who wants to see Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT on the big screen.”

Strange, I heard this didn’t make the projected amount of money. Oh well. Movie or none, I still miss the music man.

Wow. Big Surprise *eye roll* Guess anything they can do to exploit a few more dollars from the man is fair game.

well, nobody is being FORCED to go to the theatres to view this….it’s being out out there and we all have the choice to attend or not attend

when any celebrity dies, it is expected that books, movies, etc. re their “story” will emerge and many (as demonstrated here) have an interest in that celebrity….

your money, how you spend it…fair game
