Thor continues as box office champ

Thor, based on the Marvel comic book, continued to reign at the box office this past weekend with an additional estimated take of $34.5 million (all figures U.S.) and a two-week total of $119.25, receiving 4 out of 5 stars from Tribute viewers. The new comedy Bridesmaids debuted in second place with $24.4 million. Tribute viewers ranked it 3 stars. Fast Five dropped from second to third place, taking in an additional $19.5 million and keeping its 4 star Tribute viewer rating. The new sci-fi thriller Priest starring Paul Bettany opened in fourth, grossing $14.5 millon. Rounding out the top five was the animated movie Rio, earning an additional $8 million for a five-week total of $125 million.
