Three actresses vying for Superman role

Three foreign-born actresses are in the running to play the female lead role in the upcoming Superman movie, starring British actor Henry Cavill as the American superhero. German actress Diane Kruger, 34, may be the most famous of the three, having starred in Inglourious Basterds and the upcoming Unknown opposite Liam Neeson. British actress Rosamund Pike, 32, was most recently seen in Barney’s Version, while the youngest of the three, Brit Alice Eve, 29, played the beautiful girl who falls in love with an average looking guy in She’s Out of My League. However, none of them will play Lois Lane, Superman’s usual leading lady, because she’s not in the script. The name of the lead female character has not yet been released. Shooting is set to begin this summer for a release in December 2012.

Netflix has plenty of new offerings in June 2023, including new seasons of hit shows such as The Witcher, plus the film Extraction 2 starring Chris Hemsworth.
I dislike re-boots..of a re-boot. Give it’s das boot lol. I liked the actors in Superman Returns. Superman is iconic so to change the face of him for a generation is ok, but to change it after a couple years doesn’t do the myth justice. It was only a crappy story for the Returns movie. Bring the actors back. If you want to add one of these ladies, then fine Alice Eve or Rosamund Pike. At least Pike (007 movie) has the chops for a lot of action if this Superman movie will actually have action this time around and not just a couple scenes.
I think Blake Lively, or Taylor Swift would be preferable to the choices listed above.
