Hollywood celebrities and NHL players will face off against each other Friday (September 5) during the Toronto International Film Festival in the Festival Cup charity hockey game at the Air Canada Centre. The celebs include Juno director Jason Reitman, Tim Robbins, Alan Thicke, D.B. Sweeney and Cameron Bancroft, while the hockey players confirmed to show off their skills include Ottawa Senators’ Jason Spezza, Dallas Stars’ Sean Avery, Joe Thornton (San Jose Sharks), and Toronto Maple Leafs Curtis Joseph and Matt Stajan. Tickets are only $25 through Ticketmaster or at the Air Canada Centre box office. The proceeds will go to the international humanitarian organization Right To Play, a group that uses sports to promote health, education and development in children around the world.
That’s awesome! I’m so going!
