Tina Fey “Entertainer of the Year”

tina_fey.jpg30 Rock star Tina Fey was voted The Associated Press’ Entertainer of the Year for being the performer who has had the greatest impact on culture and entertainment in 2008. Fey, who made headlines this year with her impersonation of Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, was chosen by newspaper editors and broadcast producers across the country. Robert Downey Jr. came in second, with Heath Ledger, who died in January, ranked third. ”She simultaneously entertained us with her wit and put a mirror up to the nation during the election and made us think about what was going on,” said Scott Shive, assistant features editor at the Lexington Herald-Leader, of Fey. ”She is the epitome of the smart kid coming out on top for once.”

I absolutely love 30 Rock, hilarious. I think Fey is brilliant however personally didn’t care for the Sarah Palin routine, found it boring. I really enjoyed the performances of Downey Jr./Ledger as well, but am not surprised that Fey was the recipient of this award, she’s had a great year. Congrats!

p.s. ha ha don’t worry, I caught your incredibly feeble “Poke Fun at the Police” jab again….good one! ha ha

Actually, it had absolutely nothing to do with the police! What it has to do with is that “pig” calling his daughter a “pig”!!

Yeah, I remember when Alec did that, and I don’t care how many awards he has won, calling his daughter a pig made him the biggest pig of all in my eyes. And I don’t see how that could be turned into a police comment, what’s Alec Baldwin got to do with the police?
