Tom Cruise walked the red carpet for the Toronto premiere of his new movie, Edge of Tomorrow, at the Scotiabank Theatre last night. The gracious star took time to talk to fans and pose for photographs before heading inside, where he took to the stage to talk to the audience, greeting them with a cheery “Hey Toronto! What’s up!” He described the film, saying, “I can’t wait for you to see it. It is such a fun ride, this film. This is a real summer popcorn movie. You’re going to have a lot of fun with this film. It has a level of intensity… a lot of humor and I sure hope you enjoy it because I make them for you.” He then asked the audience if they would mind standing up so he could take a photo of himself with them for a memory. Before leaving the stage he said, “Please enjoy the film! I hope you have a great summer.” Edge of Tomorrow opens next Friday, June 6 across Canada.
