After being separated for almost a year, Smallville star Tom Welling, 36, and his wife, Jamie White Welling, 37, are getting a divorce. People magazine reports that Jamie filed for divorce on Wednesday, October 16 in Los Angeles. Irreconcilable differences was the reason listed. Jamie is asking for spousal support, though they have no children. Tom and Jamie have been married since July 2002 and met in a Miami coffee shop in 1998. Throughout most of their marriage the couple lived in Vancouver, where Smallville filmed. When the show ended in 2011, they moved to Los Angeles. Although Tom is primarily known for his lead role in the hit TV series Smallville, he has also appeared in several movies such as Cheaper by the Dozen and The Fog. He can currently be seen in Zac Efron’s new movie Parkland and in the 2014 film Draft Day alongside Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner. ~ Brie Davis
