Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes moving to Manhattan

By Alexandra Heilbron on June 5, 2008 | 24 Comments

Tom Cruise and Katie HolmesTom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who held a house warming party last Saturday at their new $35 million mansion in Beverly Hills, are moving to New York so Katie can star on Broadway in a revival of Arthur Miller’s Tony award-winning play All My Sons. Producer Eric Falkenstein says it took months of negotiations to confirm Holmes for the play, because she wouldn’t come to NYC without her family, including Cruise and their two-year-old daughter Suri. Falkenstein told the New York Post, “It took time — about four months — to work out. There were family issues. She and Tom are committed to keeping the family together, so they have to get an apartment here.” Cruise and Holmes also have a spacious, secluded mountain home in Telluride, Colorado. All My Sons opens in October.

Well, what I heard a month or so ago was that SHE wanted to move to Manhattan and have a trial separation, but he went bezerk. She’s probably scared to leave him.

And, what about the two kids he has with Nicole Kidman? Just up-root them, too! I guess it’s not bad enough that they already have so much travelling to do between their parents, now they have to totally relocate!!

I don’t think Tom gives a rats *ss about those kids, if he did, they would have been with their MOTHER on mothers day, not their little sisters mother! As long as he has a couch to jump on, and Katie glued to his side, he’s quite happy.

There’s only one person that Tom truely cares about, and that’s Tom.. He’s a freak – this will not end nicely.

I totally think that tom brain washes katie with this scientology b.s. and one of these days she’s going to realize that she made a big mistake and leave him..although little suri is a good thing that came out of this…

Looks like the scientologist circus is coming to NY, and Kaiser Tom is the ringleader!!!

  7. don • June 6, 2008 @ 4:53 PM

do you think Nicole cares that Tom was not with her on mothers day!

  8. Nancy • June 6, 2008 @ 4:58 PM

don: Tributegirl was not talking about TOM being with Nicole on Mother’s Day…she was talking about the two kids that they have together…there was an earlier article on Tribute about their two kids spending Mother’s Day with Tom and Katie.

fact is they are famous and making millions of dollars doing what they love to do. Poor them. Now they will have THREE homes. Sigh. That’s so sad. How will they cope? Oh how awful………………………….

I am amazed at all this hatred spewed at Tom Cruise. The public has no idea what he does or does do for real. We know what the tabloids and the so called “sources close to the star” want us to know. I shake my head at those close friends who would put that shit in the media. The expression friends like that who needs enemies comes to mind! I think the Cruises seem extremely happy and I believe that Katie is a strong enough woman that if she was being mistreated or abused she’d take her little girl and leave. The fact that they are moving to NY so Katie can do broadway is a good thing for her and for him. She still has a career of her own that he had nothing to do with! The fact that Tom wasn’t with Nicole on mothers day wow, she is remarried and I am sure she and her new hubby didn’t miss Tom one bit. I equally sure that he seen to it that Nicole got something from him that we the public didn’t see or hear about. He is a good man and a terrific actor!

  11. Nancy • June 7, 2008 @ 6:14 PM

No Patricia, I bet Nicole didn’t miss Tom one bit at all…..SHE MISSED THEIR CHILDREN WHO SPENT MOTHER’S DAY WITH KATIE!!!! And, you wrote…”the public has no idea what he does or doesN’T do for real”……so, how would you know that he is “a good man”? Maybe you should invite him over to test the springs in your sofa!!!

  12. Jo-Anne • June 7, 2008 @ 6:22 PM

Nancy, how would YOU know definitively that “Nicole missed her children”? Was that in your last phone call with her?? Patricia has every right to state she “thinks” Tom is a good man.
The next time you talk to Nicole, maybe you should express your views, I mean they are brilliant. ha ha ha ha

  13. tributegirl • June 7, 2008 @ 6:29 PM

Oh great, Jo-Anne’s back. Yeah, Patricia has the right to say what she thinks, but so does Nancy, and you, and me, and every other person who visits this site.
don and Patricia: I didn’t mean that Tom should have spent mothers day with Nicole! My God people! Clue in! I meant that their CHILDREN

  14. tributegirl • June 7, 2008 @ 6:30 PM

should have spent mothers day with THEIR mother, not Katie!

  15. Nancy • June 7, 2008 @ 6:37 PM

Jo-Anne: The rest of us on here, have every right to state what we “think” of Tom, too! No, I haven’t spoken to Nicole but, I have read Tribute’s other articles…try archives, May 28…

  16. Nancy • June 7, 2008 @ 6:50 PM

Listen to youself…speaking of “ALL MOUTH!!”

  17. tributegirl • June 7, 2008 @ 7:21 PM

Seems to me like you spend a big part of your life here.

  18. Jo-Anne • June 7, 2008 @ 7:23 PM

I didn’t realize coming on this site was a big part of my life, however I am not ashamed of it at all, it’s a laugh and some people have some interesting comments.

    some others…do not.

“Far and Away” is far and away the best movie of the last 25 years.

  20. Poppa John's in Exile • June 9, 2008 @ 9:40 PM

    Patricia,

Tom is a good man? Compared to Vlad the Impaler, you mean? Oh, okay! Now I get it.
As for Katie having a career that he has nothing to do with, you ARE aware that he picks her roles for her, aren’t you? Or are you under his spell because he’s considered good-looking and you liked him in his underwear in Risky Business?
Well, here’s some news for ya, pretty people can be fu#@ed in the head, too!!
    You sound really pretty, however….

  21. Anonymous • June 11, 2008 @ 8:28 AM

Tom Cruise….who is he again. A finished actor. When was the last time he had a hit movie (Risky Business). I feel sorry for Katie as all she will be ever known for is “she is the wife of Tom Cruise”. I hope she has a good pre-nup and is prepared to be be dumped after 9years, 11mths of marriage ( not 10 years) as he dumped Nicole Kidman, so he does not have to share in his fortune (some strange California law).

  22. Nancy • June 11, 2008 @ 12:42 PM

I wonder what the law about that is when they move to NY? Maybe Katie is smarter than we give her credit for?

  23. tributegirl • June 12, 2008 @ 7:16 PM

I don’t really think she is. Because she is still with him.

  24. Sue • June 20, 2008 @ 3:09 PM

Who gives a SH*T! These two get more and more irritating every week!!! Cute kid tho.
