Toy Story tops box office

Toy Story 3 captured the top spot at the box office with an amazing debut weekend, earning $109 million (all figures $US) in North America alone. This made it the highest opening ever for a Disney Pixar film, beating 2004’s The Incredibles, which made $70.5 million its debut weekend. Tribute viewers rated it 4.4 out of 5 stars.  The Karate Kid starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, dropped to second place in its second weekend, earning a Tribute Viewer Rating of 3.2 out of 5 stars and an additional $29 million. The A-Team earned $13.8 million in third place and a Tribute Viewer Rating of 3.8 out of 5. Get Him To The Greek (Tribute Viewer Rating: 3.7) remained in fourth place, earning an additional $6 million. Shrek Forever After (Tribute Viewer Rating: 3.8) rounded out the top five with $5.5 million.
