Transformers: The Last Knight teaser sets stage for epic showdown

Robots will soon make their grand return to screens in the fifth installment of Transformers, and the film’s epic teaser trailer lays the groundwork for what promises to be a dramatic, explosive (final?) encounter.

Anthony Hopkins narrates the teaser for Transformers: The Last Knight, which showcases the brewing battle between humans and robots. Optimus Prime appears to be on the side of the villains, while Case Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) and Lt. Colonel William Lennox (Josh Duhamel) are drawing their weapons for the humans. Obviously, Bumblebee lends his mechanical muscles to the good fight, too.

The tone of the trailer suggests that this may very well be the last clash. There’s a sense of severity and seriousness, and absolutely no sign of Megan Fox sporting tight and tiny denim shorts (à la Revenge of the Fallen).

The outcome will be revealed when director Michael Bay‘s fifth Transformers film — which also stars Stanley Tucci, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro — tears into theaters June 23, 2017.
