As predicted, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was the top movie at the weekend box office, earning a cool $82.5 million (all figures $U.S.) over the weekend, for a total of $175.3 million domestically since its Wednesday opening and $261.2 million worldwide. Tribute viewers rated it 4 out of 5 stars. Another new release, M. Night Shyamalan‘s The Last Airbender, came in second, earning $53.2 million and a Tribute Viewer Rating of 3 out of 5 stars. Toy Story 3 (Tribute Viewer Rating: 4.3) dropped to third place during its third weekend in theaters, earning an additional $42.2 million. Grown Ups dropped to fourth place in its second weekend with a take of $18.5 million and a Tribute Viewer rating of 3.8 out of 5. Rounding out the top five was Tom Cruise‘s action comedy Knight and Day, earning an additional $10.5 million and a Tribute Viewer rating of 3.7. At the Canadian box office, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was also the top movie, but Toy Story 3 beat out The Last Airbender for second place. Grown Ups and Knight and Day were fourth and fifth respectively.
