Two men guilty in Joss Stone murder plot

Kevin Liverpool, 35, and Junior Bradshaw, 32, have been convicted of hatching a plot to murder and rob singer Joss Stone. Investigations revealed that the men intended to decapitate the pop star before dumping her body in a river. They were arrested in 2011 when they were found near Stone’s house in a car filled with balaclavas, a body bag, a samurai sword, hammers, knives, black tape, garbage bags and metal spikes. Liverpool was sentenced to life, with a minimum of 10 years and eight months, while Bradshaw, who has a history of schizophrenia, will be sentenced at a later date. Judge Francis Gilbert, QC, told Liverpool: “This may have been the crazy scheme of a crazy person… but it was a very real plan. You intended to rob her and kill her and dump her body in the river, according to your words, and then leave the country with your accomplice Junior Bradshaw.” Liverpool was apparently incensed about Stone’s links to the Royal Family. In a statement after the verdicts were announced, the singer expressed her relief at the trial’s outcome, adding, “I’d like to thank everyone for all their support and kind wishes.” ~Carlos Laron
