50 Shades of Grey ‘condensed film’ rumor denied

E. L. James’ erotic romance series is not going to be packaged into a single film, contrary to online rumors. The film adaptation of the first book in the  Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy is set for a February 2015 release. Fans of the mommy porn series panicked as a rumor about a single, condensed film circulated the Internet. According to tooFab.com, a random report claimed that the entire trilogy was going to be made into one film. This report claimed scenes from the third book are set to be filmed next month. However, Universal Pictures confirmed to tooFab.com that this rumor is false. Fans of the trilogy can rest assured and anticipate three full-length features.

Fifty Shades of Grey took the world by storm in 2011, with its explicit S&M scenarios and scandalous love story. The second and third installments, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, proved just as popular with the fans after their 2012 release. After much speculation surrounding the casting of the main characters, author E. L. James announced that Dakota Johnson would be playing shy Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan would be filling the role of the mysterious Christian Grey. James kept her fans on their feet throughout the casting process and eventually revealed the chosen actors on Twitter.

The Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy will be following in the steps of other trilogies such as The Hunger Games, The Dark Knight, and The Lord of the Rings, which were all major Hollywood hits in the past decade. ~Yara Matar

I don’t think the first one will make enough to merit a second, let alone a third.
