Update on James Gandolfini’s last hours

According to several sources, Sopranos star James Gandolfini‘s last meal on Wednesday night included two huge orders of king-sized prawns adorned with mayonnaise chili sauce. He also enjoyed two beers, two pina coladas and four shots of rum with his meal. According to NBC news, his 13-year-old son Michael found him on the bathroom floor of their hotel room in Rome at about 10 p.m. local time (4 p.m. ET). He was rushed to hospital, where doctors spent 40 minutes trying to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at 11 p.m. The 51-year-old actor was on a holiday with his son and had intended to cap off the trip by attending the Taormina Film Festival, where he was scheduled to receive the Taormina City Prize, then attend the festival’s closing ceremony with actress Marisa Tomei. The festival is now arranging a tribute to Gandolfini instead. ~Marriska Fernandes

Honestly I loved him as an actor and love Tribute but why must the story of a sad passing contain what he ate and drank? He didn’t die of a drug overdose so why does it have to insinuate he drank and ate too much? The guy was on vacation, we all drink and eat more, couldn’t it just say he had dinner and a few drinks and leave it at that? Ver sad somehow that it has to be added for a last dig!

So he ate a bit. So what!! He was a great actor, and I feel bad for his son (to find his father in that state).

So now you are doing an autopsy on FB? How distasteful.

Guys the idea is to find out what triggered the heart attack other than the obvious weight problem he had. It’s sad to I love this guys work. We all need to be more responsible how we live what we do and how much and what we eat. Excerise is important as well. This is the perfect case of what can happen if you don’t take care of yourself bottom line. Poor guy man …he will be missed. R.I.P Mr Soprano 🙁

Exactly, Suneagle. It’s important to watch what you eat and get enough exercise, and pass that on to your children so they live healthy lives. His death is a wake up call to anyone who thinks they can eat grease every day and drink umpteen alcoholic drinks per meal. It was too much stress on his heart and it happens every day to people who are too young who don’t believe what they consume can kill them.

Pretty sure it’s their way of saying if you eat deep fried foods smothered in mayo and sauces with tasty beers you might be creating a health issue. Are they saying he regularily ate that way? It’s leading us to believe so, but you never know. Maybe he was dieting and that was just his cheat day and the damage was already done? Shouldn’t speculate or lead people to believe. Poor kid and is that his gf or wife? Just sad cause he was so relatively young and very very talented.

Suneagle: “what triggered the heart attack other than the obvious weight problem he had.” As you can see from what you said – when you eat too much, you have a weight problem. Obviously, lots of people are overweight and don’t have too many health problems or die because of it. If you do research on the net: you’ll realize that prawns are very healthy for you. But putting those with mayonaise, with ‘you don’t know what kind of oil was in it’, Two beers And Two Pina Coladas AND FOUR shots of Rum… You Don’t drink that much alcohol with a meal, much less with prawns (seafood). Plus mixing All That together is extremely Unhealthy! Plus drinking all that alcohol Together! I’ve never heard of anyone eating that kind of food And drinks together. Wow! My heart goes out to his son! Poor boy! If only his Dad had watched what he was eating, I bet he’d be alive today!
