Val KilmerVal Kilmer may follow in the footsteps of Arnold Schwarzenegger, current governor of California, by running for governor of New Mexico. Current governor Bill Richardson, who will be stepping down in 2011, told website icydk.com: “I like the idea. Val Kilmer is a New Mexican, he was Batman. You know there have been successful actors going into politics. I haven’t talked to him about it, I don’t know how serious he is, but you know if he jumps in a race he’s got name ID, so it can’t be discounted.” Born in Los Angeles, Kilmer, a divorced father of two, has lived for many years on a ranch in New Mexico, where he raises bison and is actively involved in The Wildlife Center of New Mexico.
