Victoria Beckham replaces Paula Abdul

Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice of the Spice Girls, arrived in Denver on Friday to fill in as a temporary replacement judge in Paula Abdul’s absence for the first of the American Idol auditions. She joined the other three judges, Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi, who were saddened that Abdul wasn’t returning to the panel. Kara told E! News: “I still can’t get over it. Completely shocked. It’s such a loss for the show and the contestants. She’s definitely the heart of the panel… She was so kind to me and made me feel immediately like part of the panel. I’m hoping she’ll reconsider.” Randy said: “I spoke to her a couple days ago and really still sad about that and just shocked.” Victoria, however, was thrilled to join the judges, telling Ryan Seacrest: “It’s just great, and I’m still grinning from ear to ear. And I’m going to try hard to pout and not shatter that illusion that I’m a moody cow. I don’t know if I can, I’m just so happy!” The dynamic between Posh Spice and Cowell may be interesting, considering that years ago, he turned down the Spice Girls, telling them they would never work. Beckham said, “I’m looking forward to a bit of banter. I hope he does give me a hard time. I love that, I feed off of that. I think he’s great.”

I actually doubt that Kara is sad that Paula is leaving, and I bet she’s even sadder that Victoria is coming on board. I have a feeling Kara likes to be the queen bee. I don’t really like Victoria, but I really can’t stand Kara! I wish she was the one leaving!

I’m not a fan of Victoria (not one of Paula either though) but I don’t see her as the type who sits back and takes any crap. Yeah Shauna, she does look really bruised. That’s weird.
