Vince Vaughn never imagined he’d be immortalized outside the TCL Chinese Theatre.
The Unfinished Business star used to find looking at the celebrity hand and footprints encased in cement outside the world-famous Hollywood building ”inspiring” and was thrilled to join their ranks at a ceremony yesterday.
He told Entertainment Tonight: ”I remember being a young kid – I came out to L.A. when I was 18 — walking down these streets and coming across the Chinese [Theatre] and really being impressed by it and looking at all the names and all the hands and footprints and it being inspiring. To be included now is a lot of fun.”
The 44-year-old actor – who was joined at the ceremony by wife Kyla and their children Lochlyn, four, and Vernon, 19 months – is known for his work in comedy but he will star in the upcoming series of True Detective and is excited about his role in the gritty drama.
He said: ”It’s a chance to do something different and we got great material to me working with and I’m really having a great time doing it. It’s a crime story that takes place [in Los Angeles]. The characters are complicated, the world’s that you enter are very interesting. It’s a lot of fun.”
