Warner Bros. signs Steve Carell for Get Smart 2

Steve CarellGet Smart earned $130 million at the US box office and $230 million worldwide, so Warner Bros. has signed the star of the film, Steve Carrell, to a three year deal which includes reprising his role as Maxwell Smart in Get Smart 2. As part of the deal, his company, Carousel Productions, which he set up with two friends, will get office space on the Warner lot as part of the agreement. Carell told Variety: “I have some ideas for films, but I’ve gotten to know so many people who are funny, talented and fertile with ideas that I’m confident this very strong base of friendships will lead to projects.”

    Warner Brothers? BOOO! Um-I mean I haven’t seen Get Smart yet, but I heard that it was great.
