watchmen.jpgWatchmen fans can breathe a sigh of relief: Fox and Warner Bros. have settled their dispute. According to Variety, Warner Bros. made a cash payment to Fox in return for the right to open the much anticipated superhero film on March 6 as planned. The settlement is somehere between $5 million and $10 million, which includes reimbursement of $1.4 million Fox invested in development fees, as well as millions of dollars in legal fees. A joint statement said, “Warner Bros. and Twentieth Century Fox have resolved their dispute regarding the rights to the upcoming motion picture Watchmen in a confidential settlement. Warner Bros. acknowledges that Fox acted in good faith in bringing its claims, which were asserted prior to the start of principal photography.”

    So we get to see the movie, cool. I hope the Movie can match its hype…for the studios sake and the sake of the fans.
