Watchmen topped last weekend’s box office, bringing in $55.6 million, despite mixed ratings from viewers (Tribute viewer rating: 3.79 stars). After two weeks at the top, Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail dropped to second, earning an additional $8.8 million for a total take of $76.5 million. Despite doing well in the States, the movie has never made it to the top spot in Canada, and has a Tribute viewer rating of 2.3 stars. Taken has also proven to have box office stamina, climbing up a spot to third in its sixth weekend, earning $7.5 million and a total take of over $118 million as well as a solid Tribute viewer rating of 4.4 stars. Also in the top five is Best Picture Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire, earning $6.9 million in its 17th week of release for a total of over $125 million (Tribute viewer rating: 3.56 stars). Rounding out the top five is Paul Blart: Mall Cop (Tribute rating: 3.67 stars), climbing its way back up from six place last weekend with $4.2 million.
