Why Russell Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry

By Alexandra Heilbron on January 3, 2012 | 11 Comments

Russell Brand filed for divorce from his wife, Katy Perry last week and although rumors had begun shortly after their wedding that the marriage was in trouble, people have been asking what the root of the trouble was. Sources have told gossip site TMZ that Russell, who is health conscious and has been sober for many years, is more of a homebody than Katy, who likes to party. The source said Russell would go to events with Katy but would want to leave early. She would refuse, which led to numerous arguments, many in front of witnesses at clubs and awards shows. However, the source says the parting is amicable and neither Katy nor Russell believe that there was any cheating during the duration of the marriage. Russell filed for divorce himself because Katy was afraid if she filed, her religious parents, who don’t believe in divorce, would be angry with her. Russell, who starred in the comedy remake Arthur last year, will next appear on the big screen in the musical Rock of Ages.

Yeah lets show them its just best to get a divorce than to work things out. I mean that’s what I though love is but I guess I was wrong. I’ll have to tell my wife that it doesn’t work that way anymore and to scrap all the bad and good years cuz I’m not happy at this exact moment.

this is what happens when people get married too quickly get to know each other first and see if you can live with the way the other is before you commit to them for the rest of your life and listen to the vows that you make when you get married they do mean something it’s not just something you say and do
