Will Smith’s family drug dealing problem

Former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Will Smith grew up in a West Philadelphia neighborhood with its fair share of drug dealers and criminals – but he’s never been a part of it. It “wasn’t something I embraced. I never felt the necessity to use drugs,” Smith once told reporters while promoting his movie I Am Legend. However, according to Star magazine, the husband of Smith’s younger sister, Ellen, a 41-year-old hair and make-up artist, has been charged in a major cocaine deal. Dee Lawrence Downs, 49, has been charged on numerous accounts between 1985 and 1992 for reckless endangerment, possessing a weapon, possessing a controlled substance and felony charges that put him behind bars in 1992. In January, he was found to be selling multiple kilos of cocaine during a deal in which undercover agents posed as drug traffickers. An inside told Star, “This has got to be embarrassing for Will and his family. It’s the first time they have been touched by scandal.” ~E. Guevarra

I think he and his wife are hiding all kinds of stuff. I don’t think their marriage will last.

Because of what Will came out of in Philly….I believe he knows the right choices to make…one of the is fidelity….if Jada has the same values…then they will last as a couple.

This is a brother-in-law, not blood. If he stayed away from it then good for him. that’s why he is where he is today and I hope his kids learn for Will.

I don’t think it is a Will and Jada scandal so a family member did something wrong I don’t think it should reflect on the Smiths at all. Also Janice whether they are hiding something or not doesn’t mean they wont last. They have been together since 1997 (which not a lot of celebrities have lasted that long) and recently had a cheating scandal that they survived. The only reason this is news is because of the relation to a good couple who barely have any issues.

That’s fine meow, believe what you want but whose to say that your life is anything but perfect, what are you hiding that you might want to share with us, huh?

I think they have values (some of which I don;’t agree with), and they state, simply, that “divorce is not an option”. I personally think that is ridiculously unrealistic, but they have made it work. There were rumours of a breakup a few years ago, and I reminded people that unless they wanted to kill their careers with hypocrisy, that they would ride it out. And they did.
This is sooooo not a crisis or even of interest. It is a family member in trouble, accused of a crime for which he may or may not be guilty.
And Will and Jada will stand solidly by him regardless. And they will endure.
    Point and match.

All I can see now, when I look at Will Smith, is how his face has changed in the last few years.

And I am not talking about aging or anything health related.

You can clearly see in his eyes, that he has a different brightness to it. He has dark circles.. deep ones. And his eyes aren’t as wide open as they used to be.. A little bit glossy.

But this is not the physical residual symptoms of only fatigue.

It is either drugs or medication..
