Willow Smith dancing with Vegas stripper pole

Willow Smith, the 11-year-old pop singing daughter of movie stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, posted a photo of herself this week wearing skintight black leggings while dancing with a stripper pole in Las Vegas, on her Instagram page, with a caption that read “Vegas Chick.” The photo was quickly and mysteriously taken down, but not before over 500 people “liked” it and several media outlets copied it and posted it on their websites. What do you think, should Willow be allowed to dance with a Las Vegas stripper pole or is she getting out of hand? Should her parents be keeping a closer eye on her so that she can have a normal childhood and doesn’t run the risk of turning into another Lindsay Lohan?

Child Services should step in. Will doesn’t need to send his kids out to work as fame whores. He should let them be kids.

  2. Nobody Important • January 12, 2012 @ 5:31 AM

    They grow up so fast.

  3. Alan Kringe • January 12, 2012 @ 7:53 AM

I believe that Willow has two very strong, loving, caring, mature and understanding parents. Despite their recent media business, I don’t believe that will affect the way they govern their children. The taken down mysteriously to me sounds like the parents found out, took action. But who said child services should step in, obviously has never raised a child nor a teenager and has forgotten that they too was a teenager who did things their parents didn’t know about. Just today, more venues. Frankly, stop griping & take care of your own house and let Mr. & Mrs. Smith raise their kids; besides, I must have missed the articles about their kids where they were drunk or fighting or drugs, etc. Get off your high horse.

LOL… Kids are kids… the club is obviously empty and Willow didn’t take that photo of herself. Who knows, that could have been Will taking a fun picture of her daughter clowning around on the empty stage. Purely out of context.

I wish whomever writes these articles would identify themselves… and also the editor who approves them… then I’m sure a little more thought would be put into these things – however, who am I talk… I just read it. 🙂

Oh goodness gracious…Kids of nowadays are getting crazier every day!

  6. A-nony-mouse • January 12, 2012 @ 12:26 PM

What is she doing in a strip club at her age anyway?

  7. Jay • January 12, 2012 @ 1:19 PM

She is not a teen! She is only 11 years old and there is nothing cute about this picture.

  8. mike • January 12, 2012 @ 1:32 PM

  9. anonymous2 • January 12, 2012 @ 1:36 PM

Soon to be the second Lindsay Lohan.

  10. Lady Mills • January 12, 2012 @ 1:50 PM

Will and Jada Smith are great parents, and were shocked to see this too. So people calling child services because of OMG look what Willow did? You know kids are kids, Will was not to happy, and neither was Jada.

Yes children see so much garbage out there, and they want to have fun as much as the next kid, but the pole issue is way to much, and not for a young minded young girl it is not.

  11. Joshua • January 12, 2012 @ 2:09 PM

Yeah my daughter is 13 so if i had seen that she would have been grounded. But it could have just been a misunderstanding. Dosnt mean its serious but it is in bad taste to see an 11 year old on a stripper pole. And for the person who said that child services should be involved…i bet you have never dealt with them before. im sure that foster care would help that girl grow up…STFU!

This is gone waaaay too far. I believe parents need to learn the difference between being a parent, and being someone’s “friend”. Where do you draw the line? This child needs to be at a jungle gym, swinging on monkey bars, or playing with Bratz Dolls. I understand Will and Jada’s letting her “Willow” express herself creatively through music. But what I do not, and cannot accept is the way they are perpetuating the downfall of their child. When Willow was on The Oprah Winfrey Show, she was referring to Oprah by name, or “girlfriend”, or something that came off as disrespectful. When I was a child, 48 years ago, we were taught to refer to any adult as Miss, or Mr. and their last name, and for friends of the family it was Ms, or Mr. and their first names. It’s all about respect, and The Smiths need counseling if they cannot see what they are headed for next. There are enough pedophiles, and freaks looking for children to do unspeakable things to, without you blatantly exploiting yours for money!!!!

I agree with “Alan Kringe”, the fact that it was quickly removed sounds like the parents to me. Kids through the ages have experienced poor judgement, that’s why they need a guardian until they’re 18. I say this is just poor judgement on the child’s part (and whoever took the picture which could have been a friend her own age).

And for those 10% in the poll who said “Sure, why not” to the question of whether Willow should be posing this way are either too young to know better or scary pedophiles.

  14. Andree • January 12, 2012 @ 2:53 PM

I have not been impressed with this child ever since she appeared on the Oprah Show. She seemed obnoxious and spoiled. This stripper pole photo is so obviously inappropriate and a stupid move on her part!

  15. Nevamynd • January 12, 2012 @ 2:56 PM

Yap willow is right of wot she z doin men..mr § mrs smith are such grt and thnkin grwnups lol:-).they 2 pasd that stage and xo as 2 willow.**.bt 1 thng shldn’t b 4goten.mr will shld smhw cntrl tha karate kid….:-):-)

  16. Trevor • January 12, 2012 @ 3:04 PM

Aw man when I read the title I was hoping it was that little midget from Willow. That would be a sweet video of him dancing and spinning on a ripper pole.

  17. Caligari • January 12, 2012 @ 3:20 PM

Posing with a stripper pole for a photograph doesn’t make Willow a stripper, any more than wearing boxing gloves made her dad a boxer when he played Ali in the movie. This is nothing to get exercised about.

  18. C-Dub • January 12, 2012 @ 3:40 PM

How did she end up in a strip club in the first place!?!?!?
AND… being the daughter to celebrity parents, she needs to know that putting herself in bad places and situations can result in public backlash and personal backlash from parents.

  19. Wendy • January 12, 2012 @ 4:17 PM

Will, Jada and Willow….Ignore the attention and people will soon forget all about it.

This is the image of a young little girl at the age of 11 years olf. I remember when I was her age and had to stand outside of the door when a sex scene came on in a movie or I had to cover my eyes. Come one people, please wake up and realize this is nothing but the devils work provoking the little kids to be under his influence. I realize that she is a star no and can do what she pleases. However, she needs to realize that for the ones who are not famous, if they role model after that behavior, they could be dead, in jail, or expoiting themselves too early and at all. Point and case is that she is too young for this behavior. And whether you like me or not, Im going to step in and agree that Children’s Services should step in because, just because Willow is famous does not give her the right to display this kind of behavior. She is a human being just like anyone else and has a soul that belongs to His Kingdom. And she is young enough that she really may not know, it may be innocent publicity or a funny joke, but it’s inexcusable, and her parents ought to be ashamed. Forgive her for she know not what she do.

  21. Mother discouraged • January 12, 2012 @ 5:05 PM

I can understand why she would want to granted all girls now a days want to grow up and get more and more attention, I remember what it was like for me at that age always wanting to be noticed by people but not realizing that I am fine just by myself. But these days girls have all these influences around them that make them think they need to grow up fast and dress a certain way and acted a certain way to Be accepted, it is our job as parents to tell our kids you are just fine the way you are, if someone tells you to do something you feel is wrong, then don’t. Parents have gotten lazy, blind, deaf, and completely oblivious to what our kids do these days, and by blind and deaf I mean we don’t see and we don’t hear our kids anymore, how many times has someone you know or yourself, rolled your eyes at your kid, or maybe said NO NOT RIGHT NOW I’M BUSY……..you all know what I mean, but if this is in a normal everyday family life, think of how much one on one celebrity kids get with their actual parents, probably not very much at all, and I hope that is not true with all celebrity kids, cause all I read is how spoiled they all are and how they don’t listen to there parents ethier. We’re all the same just with different sizes of bank accounts.

  22. _Enlightened_ • January 12, 2012 @ 8:14 PM

whats the use in even reading comments? They just like the story are all trying to live willow’s life for her. The post says “What do you think, should Willow be allowed to dance with a Las Vegas stripper pole or is she getting out of hand? Should her parents be keeping a closer eye on her so that she can have a normal childhood and doesnt run the risk of turning into another Lindsay Lohan?” that forms opinions instead of just asking. She may want to be successful and actually achieve things in life, not be hanging around a house all day on her mom’s & dads money and fame talking to friends. She may want to be famous on her own right like michael jackson (performed at age 5 or so). Not like any of you are smart enough to realize this.

  23. Olive • January 12, 2012 @ 10:29 PM

First Britney then Miley and now Willow. Wow, some teen queens really like stripper poles. Besides that, this is wrong and distrubing. Kudos to Will and Jada for actually get ticked at this. And to those 10% who so sure why not, I think youve seen the pedo bear video a little bit too much.

  24. yo mamas mama • January 13, 2012 @ 3:23 AM

I dont care how much money you have, this is just not cute! Perhaps little willow is just too young for such a lime light! She should be spending time being a child instead of a las vegas stripper, after all your’e only a child once! Clearly the blame lies with both parents! Hopefully little Willow wont end up like all the rest of the child stars…….COMPLETELY SCREWED UP!

  25. ann • January 13, 2012 @ 8:37 AM

Will & Jada Smith should stop pimping our their children. They’re not that talented.

  26. Tracy • January 13, 2012 @ 10:02 AM

She is too young. Parents in general, all around the world are allowing their children to make choices and do thing that is not age approiate. They do this becuase it’s easier to say yes, than argue with their child. Parents remember you are the parent, there is no need to argue. The answer is no, and stand your ground like your parents did. Let them cry, scream even! While they do that, ignore them and remminess of the times you yourself did just that. lol They will get over it. You got over it when your parents to you no. Problem here, is this kid has all kinds of things at arms length available to her, and many people (adults) who are willing to take advantage of her, when her parents aren’t looking. I for one, would pull my child back a little, let her be a kid, and grow up a little. She can always come back to the lime light (talent or not) cause of who her parents are.

  27. sandie • January 13, 2012 @ 10:22 AM

11 years old is way to young to be dancing with a stipper pole….HOWEVER did anyone stop to think that maybe this is for some video/movie or just in a casino lounge or something? the place obviously isn’t open and all she’s doing is standing there…sheesh, when my 5 year old dances around the living room, she leans over and shakes her butt back and forth…should child services be called on me?

  28. ashley • January 13, 2012 @ 12:55 PM

Well she she she should be in so much trouble……. thats why the picture ws took down so fast. I think she is just doing this probably to get her parents attention.. cause of tbe rumors of the divorce. Also look at who her roll model is supose to be. Shes a se symbol. Maybe her parents to reconsider allowing her to be around the peope she is around, like the person who took the picture and if it ws a adult then thats a very bad i fluencs. But i garinty her parents are gonna sy it was a mistake. Really and truely i would hve let the picture stay and tell her this is what they do to starz who do things like this….. if i was her parents. And i would hve told her team not to do anything aboht it cause im her parents…… bet she wont do it again…………

  29. Deborah • January 13, 2012 @ 2:20 PM

I raised my kids, and I don’t feel the need to tell complete strangers how to raise theirs.

    I wish the family luck.

  30. nate • January 13, 2012 @ 2:31 PM

Whoever wrote this is idiot. That is NOT a stripper pole in Vegas or anywhere else! Look closely at this picture, Willow is 11 years old and probably around 4 ft. tall, that pole is barely taller then she is. Looks to me like a kid having fun standing on a table/bar or something in a place that was closed. NOT a strip club.

  31. Carlie • January 13, 2012 @ 5:00 PM

So nate, genius that you are, if it’s all so innocent, then why was the photo taken down so fast?

  32. Nate • January 13, 2012 @ 5:52 PM

I’m sure the photo was taken down because people like you were making negative comments and it was bad P.R.

  33. vizo • January 14, 2012 @ 2:53 PM

she should not be on a pole

  34. vizo • January 14, 2012 @ 7:27 PM

u are too youny to dance on a Vegas stripper pole .

  35. chika • January 14, 2012 @ 10:24 PM

Now if this wasn’t Willow Smith, and it was a average 11 yr old female, the parents would be ridiculed… Personally, as a mother of a 10 yr old female, Willow dancing on a stripper pole in Vegas is too much and it’s portraying a image of her that isn’t right. I don’t condone this at all! Just because she is a celebrity doesn’t make it right. She shouldn’t have been there. SHe isn’t an adult. It’s one thing if she was performing one of her songs, but to be parting in Vegas at the age of 11 is too much… She is a child!

  36. Jo-Anne • January 15, 2012 @ 3:15 PM

11 year olds make mistakes…50 year olds make mistakes…

    child services???? please.

“Will and Jada are great parents” – Really? First hand knowledge? Or (obviously) just what we’re “priviledged” to read…

  37. Teshai • February 3, 2012 @ 11:21 AM

good lord..what is wrong with you people. when i was 11 and went to the firestation on a trip, i took a pic on the pole, its the perverted mind of adults that automatically see something wrong with an innocent pic..some ass even had the nerve to say call protective services..grow the ass up people and stop throw your dirty minded words on an 11 year old that is being an 11 year old. jeez

  38. Teshai • February 3, 2012 @ 11:27 AM

@ nate, tell them again, the media once again is using their influence to trash a young person before she is even grown. she is fully clothed and took a fun pic..dirty minded people, sickening how almost every comment automatically jumped to the wrong conclusion

  39. TruthShallSetYouFREE! • February 5, 2012 @ 11:14 AM

To answer the question, first… NO i don’t think Willow should “dance with a Vegas stripper pole” (IF that’s what she was doing in the pic). I agree, children/tweens/teens are too young to emulate whores (and females at ANY age shouldn’t want to anyways), but that is NOT what I see Willow doing in this pic.
    1) Is she standing next to a pole? Yes.
    2) Is she dancing on the pole? No.
    3) Is she posing with her legs gapped wide-open in a sexual pose or straddling the pole? No.
    4) Is he dressed like a whore or scantily-clad, exposing skin? No.

While the pole pic may not be in the best taste, we STILL don’t know what the surrounding circumstances were. Was she joking and actually CLOWNING strippers cuz she (perhaps) looks down on that type of life? I only ask that because me and my friends used to pose near all kinds of poles (and take pics, lol) to poke fun at strippers, NOT to emulate them.

I feel that comparing her to Linsay Ho-han and Britney is sucha faaaar stretch …and even calling CPS…Really? I’ve seen parents: yell at their children, feed them TONS of junk/processed foods, cuss around/at their kids, let their children play crazy video games (like “Halo”, “Grand Theft Auto” and violent war games), let their children listen to music and watch TV/movies with cussing in it, give their children sips of beer SWEARING it’s harmless, let their overly-developed girl-child wear TASTELESS adult clothing in children’s sizes, let their young daughters wear FULL HAIR WEAVES (not fun colorful streaks, but FULL WEAVES) and too many more crazy things to name, which are things I actually consider to be neglectful and very BAD parenting. Maybe some of YOU here do one or some of the things I’ve listed (OR worse!) and SWEAR it’s “not that serious” OR that your child “will be okay”.

Willow taking this pic may not be in the best taste, but TO ME, it’s DEFINITELY not serious enough to call Child Protective Services… C’mon people, lol!

  40. TruthShallSetYouFREE! • February 5, 2012 @ 11:37 AM

Also, as a child, I’ve taken pics of myself after I painted my lips bright red, put green on my eyes and pink circles on my cheeks with my paint kit, lol (TRYING to emulate how women wear their make-up). I was innocently having fun, smiling and cheesing and lookin VERY stupid, mind you, lol! But Im SURE if some psycho religious-freak had found those innocently SILLY, funny and ugly pics… they probably would’ve SWORN I was “tryna be grown and fast” and headed for whore-dom!! But my parents KNEW that was so far from the truth. I was a respectful straight-A student, didn’t “talk to boys” or date until I was 18 (and had my 1st sexual encounter at 18) never got into trouble, didn’t dress tasteless, went to college and I am actually making a great living as a make-up artist and painter, now.
Funny how other people swear a child’s life is going to turn out, based on a picture.

  41. Temia • May 8, 2012 @ 5:00 PM

    1) Maybe she was just caught at the wrong time, she doesn’t seem to be dancing on the pole, so what’s all the controversy is about.
    2) BUT then again what is she doing at a stripper club at age 11?
    3) Will and Jada should draw the line here, she is too grown she is emulating the signs of a future whore, and Hollywood mistake.
    4) Willow get out please, your dancing isn’t worth half a penny.
    5) By now if I was her record deal manager, I would let her go, she is drawing too too much attention, you don’t see China Anne who is a year older than her at a strip club shaving her hair off. She needs to live a normal life. I am wealthy and yet I still shop in clearance do layaway and my mom does use coupons and tries to go on budgets. That is why like the rest of the rich people who think they have all, I am not in debt. Because even though I am rich I live a minimum wage life, and I love it, besides the fact I do live in big house. What I am saying is she should try the life of a normal person who isn’t in the headlines, always screwing up their career, it’s just something she should be worried about. But from my view she should drop music until she is 13 so she ca focus on her schoolwork and her future plans in case the music doesn’t work out.
    This was a bad Idea.
