Wonder Woman trailer follows Diana from beach to battle

Doctor Strange may be what most filmgoers are talking about as the weekend approaches, but Gal Gadot and the Wonder Woman crew are putting up a battle to change that with the launch of their movie’s first official trailer.

Although we were gifted a Wonder Woman trailer from Comic-Con, today’s first official glimpse of the film tracks Amazonian princess Diana of Themyscira (Gal) from the shores of her homeland to the front lines of WWI along with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). She proves that she’s a force to be reckoned with as she blocks bullets with her wrists, demonstrates some stunning swords(wo)manship and is fearless while taking down numerous German enemies.

The trailer isn’t only about fast-paced action and violence, though. The end of the clip features a charming and humorous exchange between Diana and Etta Candy (Lucy Davis), who’s helping Diana try on a dress.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster) and co-stars Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Connie Nielsen and David Thewlis. The DC Entertainment film tears into theaters in June 2017.

It’s about time a female superhero film hit the screens! I hope this does really well at the box office.
