WWE star challenges Chris Brown to fight – video

By Tribute on February 23, 2012 | 29 Comments

Chris Brown had some big words for WWE champion CM Punk after the wrestler tweeted that Brown should fight someone who can actually defend themselves, referring to the singer beating Rihanna up back in 2009. Brown responded by accusing Punk of using steroids and having inadequate man parts. Punk has now released a video message for Brown and in it, he not only denies the drug accusations but also says he doesn’t believe the singer truly paid for what he did. He then challenges Brown to a real one-on-one fight in the ring with the proceeds going to a women’s shelter. “I will choke you out and I will make you feel as weak and as powerless, and scared, and alone as any woman who has the misfortune of knowing a sad, cowardly little boy such as yourself,” says Punk, adding, “Chris Brown isn’t a man and that’s fine. And I just know someday, somewhere, somehow, somebody will put Chris Brown exactly where he belongs. And it honestly doesn’t have to be me. I would just really like it to be.”

Brown has responded to Punk’s video with a series of tweets shooting down his challenge. In one he writes, “@cmpunk the video u just posted was cute! It’s so funny how defensive u are.” He later added a two-part tweet reading, “Note: today will be the last day I bring @cmpunk existence up! The confrontations that people continuously bring my way are very amusing. Cuz honestly, that shit is too time consuming to argue wit [sic] every person who has their own issues to deal with!”

CM echos my sentiments exactly. Nothing would make me happier than to see someone knock Chris Brown down a notch or two.

  2. Nobody Important • February 23, 2012 @ 12:34 AM

Could we get that in English please?

…..What about the chick that makes music with the guy she charged! Rihanna is pretty much telling your daughters and sons that its ok, its ok to get beat and iff he says sorry, take him back! No longer do I look @ her with respect, and no longer will my daughter listen to her music, its pathetic, so many other men out there and she picks the one she charged!!

  7. Nameless • February 23, 2012 @ 10:13 AM

CM Punk should’ve just left it alone. He’s wasting his time with Chris Brown.

Though Chris Brown is clearly scared. I wonder what would happen if they bumped into each other ont he street. I think someone should make that happen…

  8. Anonymous • February 23, 2012 @ 10:40 AM

CM Punk is only making it worse by challening Chris Brown. In fact he’s encouraging it. The idea is to stop the violence…not add to it by challenign him to fight

  9. ChrisBrownFan • February 23, 2012 @ 10:43 AM

It annoys me how everyone is hating on Chris Brown. He made a mistake…I bet Rihanna instigated it too. He’s trying to focus on his music now but everyone refuses to just let it go. I don’t think him stopping to acknowledge CM Punk on Twitter means he’s chickening out to fight. I think it means he’s being mature about the situation by brushing it off his shoulder and moving on. Which is what this Punk guy needs to do.

  10. birdman_36 • February 23, 2012 @ 11:12 AM

Haha, that’s awesome. The original incident is a little dated but his challenge is still entertaining.

  11. Carrie • February 23, 2012 @ 12:32 PM

Dear Chris Brown Fan, NO WOMAN deserves to get beat up by a man PERIOD!!!!! Even if they “INSTIGATED IT”.

  12. jjjones • February 23, 2012 @ 12:48 PM

1st – SHAME on you ChrisBrownFan for saying she instigated it; therefore saying she deserved what she got – SHAME ON YOU!!!

2nd – brenda this is not about music lasting forever and the amount of time someone spends in the Ring. It is about a woman beater and a guy who feels the punishment didn’t fit the crime, so good for you CM Punk even though I don’t know you.

Yes Brown made a mistake, but I am disgusted that after only three years, Chris Brown is going around like he’s da bomb. I also think that his comment “the confrontations that people continuously bring my way are very AMUSING” is disgraceful – it is clear that he has NO remorse for what he did and that makes him a sleaze ball in my book.

  13. Terry • February 23, 2012 @ 2:27 PM

Well spoken Carrie and jjjones. ChrisBrownFan’s message is that if you make the guy mad you deserve to get beaten to a pulp. Sounds like your own brains have been knocked around a bit.

  14. Tayderhead • February 23, 2012 @ 2:47 PM

Looks like Brown needs to clean his ears. The sh** is starting to ooze out.

  15. Spanky • February 23, 2012 @ 3:49 PM

Brenda, before you decide to type on the interweb go back to school and learn “ENGLISH” your spelling and grammer are a joke. Also who cares that some lame ass fake fighter is trying to get some free press off the whole Chris Brown thing.

Chris Brown = Loser who beats women cause he’s a wimp.

CM Punk = Loser interweb TROLL!

  16. M.L. • February 23, 2012 @ 6:29 PM

Everyone that has a head on their shoulders knows that this guy is right… You have to be dumb to defend Chris Brown, to me it’s clear that he’s not a real man… Go pick on someone that can actually defend himself. People defending him must be little girls and boys who don’t know anything about life yet. They will know when it will happen to someone they know or themselves. But I don’t wish that to anyone.

  17. josh • February 23, 2012 @ 6:48 PM

i bet you even the wwe divas could kick chris brown’s ass what a wimp cant stand up to a real challenge im not condoning violence since wrestling is “sports entertainment” but who wouldnt want to see chris brown get a few chair shots to the head lol

  18. mike • February 23, 2012 @ 7:04 PM

Who are these guys? and who is this rihana character?

  19. Jason • February 23, 2012 @ 7:13 PM

To set the record straight, CM Punk is straight edge. No drinking, no drugs and no steroids! He has mixed martial arts training, which means he would wipe the floor with Chris Brown.

Punk has actual talent to rely on even if he is a “sports entertainer” and doesn’t have to lip synch to get through a performance unlike Mr.Brown.

People who don’t watch wrestling because it’s “fake” need stop judging something that you’ll never understand. Stop making assumptions because most wrestlers don’t use steroids anymore.
Movie’s aren’t real and yet their entertaining too, so get over it.

Good man, and good job on posting this video, that waste of skin Chris Brown, has somehow slithered back into the limelight and even onto the Grammy stage, twice!!?? He’s just a sad sad example of how insecurity and thinking the yo dawg attitude is tough, but a real man knows hes pathetic. Seems to work in the entertainment circles.

  21. nestor palencia • February 23, 2012 @ 8:21 PM

It’ll be so good that Chris Brown accepts the fight and see him
Fighting with a man but we all know he is a pussy that’s why the
Only fight you will hear about him it’ll always be with woman, maybe
Kids or old people because they can’t defend themself so he can
Feel strong, he is an poor weak and so insecure no matter how
Hard he tries to mask it up, he is so low that it brights all ovehimself
And nobody can feels jealous of him not matter who he is, only a poor
Losser as him could defend him and say that.

I must admit that I lost virtually all respect for Rihanna as well. She shouldn’t let this bum back into her life. Did she miss what happened to Whitney Houston?

—————————————————-Agreed. He’s really shown NO remorse for his actions. He showed up on Larry King looking like a fool, and he picked up some trash as part of his sentence. I don’t recall him ever donating money to women’s shelters, or using his celebrity status to address spousal abuse publicly. Instead, he runs from his past, or acts like 12 year-old whenever he’s backed into a corner.

I don’t get it either. I don’t understand why society rewards people like that.

Chris Brown’s I. Q. might be pushing about 59. But even at that, he should know better, than to let Rihanna, hang off of his neck, again. Lately, she is doing her level best, to look like the biggest tramp on the block.
I suppose, she has to do something to stay relevant. She has no singing talent, what-so-ever. Might as well strut around, practicably naked… looking like last night’s left-overs. Now, there’s a role model, for all the young impressionable girls out there. Right Daddy?

  24. Nobody Important • February 24, 2012 @ 4:13 AM

I never had a problem with her music. The production and beats are decent – considering it’s pop that is. Her choice to let this scum bum back into her life is downright inexcusable however. I really expected more from her.

  25. NYTOC83 • February 24, 2012 @ 6:28 AM

@christine – Can’t say how right you are and being responsible for your child teaching her to value herself and respect for women that don’t “deserve” to get beaten up. It’s cases like these we always see in the news or even someone we know, where the woman will say “it was never his fault, it was mine and that I should take him back”. No one and I mean NO ONE ever instigates abuse or violence onto themselves. The person being the violent one needs help, mental help dealing with whatever issues they have. It would seem that the only way the “industry of music” and Chris Brown could move on, was to accept that what he did was justified and that women should curve their behaviour as well. I don’t understand what sort of message this sends to young women when a boy or their later in life partner abuses them. Women like Rihana will never give up feeling sorry blaming themselves in the process. It’s incredibly funny how we in this online community and others around the world understand that what she is doing as a female and role model is wrong and will cause a ripple effect to those that follow her life style.

@ChrisBrownFan – seriously, I don’t even know where to begin with someone like you. I can only imagine you see yourself as a Chris Brown type and believe women cause men to lose their minds. So if I had a daughter and she saw me beating arguing with my wife, and my wife decides in the heat of the moment to slap me across the face; I should A)Slap her back harder than what she gave me B)Punch her in the face/throw her against a wall C)Grab her arms and squeeze them tight or D)Look her in the eyes and remain silent as if to say I know you didn’t mean it, let’s talk things over(all the while our daughter is watching as I make an example of myself as a man interacting with a woman).

    Hmmm…Commenters, what do you think?

  26. chantel_0638 • February 24, 2012 @ 11:16 AM

AWESOME good for him!! Any man who beats a woman should serve at least a few months jail time, and he’s right picking up garbage doesn’t even closely make up for what chris did.

  27. Jasmine • February 24, 2012 @ 4:32 PM

Chris Brown is scum and he’s smart for running away from the cmpunk challenge cuz it sounds like he would get his ass whooped, which would actually be good in teaching him a lesson lol! Rihanna instigated?? Even if she did, u should NEVER hit a woman and especially the way Chris Brown did…from the pic of her face, looks like really roughed her up! Rihanna is weak and stupid for still being friends/dating him after what he did. She’s not a good role model for young women AND she make that new song with him to boot! What’s wrong with her? Doesn’t she have any pride?

  28. Spanky • February 24, 2012 @ 10:29 PM

Jason wake up buddy wrestling is fake! These guys and gals are incredible ATHLETES, they are in amazing physical form and are extremely well trained in the art of showmanship but the one thing they are not is a FIGHTER! Punk is a troll who is just looking for free press, but let’s call a spade a spade, he’s an actor looking for the limelight. Real fighters can’t be bothered with Chrissy Brown because he’s not worth the effort. Also Chrissy Brown wouldn’t last 30 seconds with any of the female Strike Force contenders.

    Spanky, grammer is spelled grammar.
