Zac Efron misses anonymity

Unlike his girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, who allegedly was irate when she recently went unrecognized at an airport, Zac Efron told Teen Vogue that he sometimes wishes he could be anonymous. “You don’t realize until it’s gone,” he said, about being unable to go places unnoticed. “But it is so important to feel normal.”  However, he’s not trying to seek pity. “I’m not going to complain,” he added. “But it’s something I’m learning to cope with.” Efron, who stars in the upcoming High School Musical 3: Senior Year, has just wrapped up starring roles in the big screen films 17 Again and Me and Orson Welles (showing tonight and Thursday night at Ryerson Theatre as part of the Toronto International Film Festival). He admits the latter film inspired him to develop a real love for the cinema. “I would never have, until now, called myself a movie buff,” he said. “But I’ve found so many films that I never knew existed.”
