Zachary Quinto, 38, quit the Church after he came out as gay.
The Hitman: Agent 47 star was raised as a strict Catholic and went to mass every week but he has admitted he couldn’t bring himself to step inside the holy place ever again after he realized his true sexuality just after he’d finished school.
He explained: ”I never went to Church again after graduating high school. I value a lot of aspects of my Catholic education and up bringing but also recognise the deep-seated, hypocritical nature of the teachings and the political and internal machinations of the institution. I do think it engendered a spirituality in me that I have cultivated and developed in different ways.”
The actor, who came out publicly gay in 2011, believes he’s still trying to find his spirit path but has come across a number of experiences along the way.
He explained to Attitude magazine: ”I think the path is still revealing itself to me in lots of ways but I would say the most profound spiritual experiences I have had have been shamanic in nature and have opened me up to a kind of earth spirit, and plant spirits that have taught me a lot.”

Wait, he didn’t know he was gay until after high school? I thought the popular belief was that people know from a young age that they’re gay. This smells like he was recruited. No way he got to 18 and then thought, oh, I like guys. Something happened to this guy. And he’s not the only one. I know plenty of people who are gay because of things that have happened to them. And the fact that he’s Catholic and left the church after determining he wanted to be gay sounds like he was sexually abused by a priest.
He wouldn’t be the first Catholic to become gay after being molested by a priest.
He’s stated previously that he struggled with his sexuality when he was younger and didn’t want to admit it. He only accepted and admitted that he was gay once he was in college.

Maybe he got into some nasal spray or soemthing that runed him.
Makes just as much sense,
who really cares anyway. His body – his choice of who he puts into it, and where. Not going to affect anyone else besides the recipient..
