Zombie to switch from horror

Rob ZombieRob Zombie, the director of Halloween, currently the No. 1 movie at the North American box office, says he wants to make a switch from the horror movies that have made him famous. “I love small dramas like The Station Agent and American Splendor. I can definitely see doing something like that,” Zombie told the New York Post. When asked if he could get out of the horror genre, considering he’s never directed any other type of movie, he replied, “Oh, yeah. But these things take time. The great example I always use is Ron Howard. How long did it take people to stop calling him Opie?”

You said in the artical Rob didn’t do anything other then horror? If you check your facts before you write something, you would have found that he worked on Pee-Wee’s playhouse.

Have you watched Pee-Wee’s playhouse, it is horror!

If you checked your spelling, you’d know article is not spelled “artical.” And he didn’t direct Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. And yeah, Sparky, I agree, it was horror!

Rob Zombie got his start by working as a technician for Pee Wee’s Playhouse, not directing any episodes. That said, the article is not wrong as it only states he has never DIRECTED anything other than horror. There is a big difference between working as a technician and directing.

It’s a sad state in the world when you have enough horror from the real world, that horror movies gross ridiculous amounts of money and feed your head with crap. I’m glad Rob Zombie is having a change of heart.
