Alexis Dziena biography

When in Rome

Alexis Dziena

Date of Birth: July 8, 1984

Nicknamed "Wonder Girl," Alexis Dziena has plenty of talents under her belt, and though she's skilled in playing the piano and the cello, it's her acting talent that has given her the most recognition to date.

Dziena grew up in New York City and spent many of her summers in Sea Isle City on the South Jersey Shore. She attended Saint Ann's School, but was bitten by the acting bug after taking acting classes at the American Academy of Performing Arts in New York. She began testing out her acting chops and landed a role in her high school's version of Twelfth Night.

After being cast, Dziena feverishly pursued more opportunities in the acting world. Her persistence paid off when she got her first acting gig in 2002 on ABC's sci-fi television series Invasion. Dziena played Kira Underlay, the daughter of the town sheriff, and appeared in 21 of the 22 episodes. Though the program was short lived, lasting only a season, the show helped launch Dziena's budding career.

Since then Dziena made guest appearances on popular television shows like Law & Order and Entourage. After appearing in minor roles on television Dziena was ready to test the waters of the big screen.

Her feature film roles so far include Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, in which she plays Nick's complicated ex-girlfriend Tris; the clueless teenage daughter of millionaire Gemma Honeycutt in Fool's Gold ; and the feisty Lolita in Broken Flowers . In the romantic comedy When in Rome , she worked with Transformers actor Josh Duhamel and Forgetting Sarah Marshall 's Kristen Bell.

In her spare time, Dziena plays the drums and writes plays.
