AMBER STEVENS WEST

Date of Birth: October 7, 1986

California native Amber Dawn Stevens was born to famed actor and radio-announcer Shadoe Stevens and former model Beverly Cunningham. Her parents' marriage was the third for her father, his personal history well documented in Hollywood. Amber leaped into acting fairly early into her career, starring with her father on the American Top 40 on Christmas Eve, 1989, as part of a Christmas skit.

The taste of the limelight was enough to encourage Amber to follow in her parent's footsteps. During her time at Beverly Hills High School, she began acting and modeling professionally. It was not long before modeling agencies, Nu Talent Agency and Nous Model Management, picked her up. As a result, she attended only a few semesters at Santa Monica College before her career kicked off.

It became fairly evident that Amber was adept at acting and began starring on the small screen. It was not until 2006 when she debuted in a minor role in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift that she gained steady momentum in the industry. Her most notable small screen role was that of Ashleigh Howard on the television series Greek. It was also on this series that she met longtime love and fellow actor, Andrew J. West, who is best known for his work on The Walking Dead. The couple is now engaged.

Amber's biggest role to date was as Maya in 22 Jump Street. She loved having the ability to improvise, an experience different from working on television. Her character was also very different from the typical college girl; she was able to breathe new life into the role of a strong and independent art major.

She has since appeared in a small role in the horror film Jessabelle (2014). In her spare time Amber enjoys yoga classes.
