Brett Clifford Gelman was born in Highland Park, Illinois. He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he studied theater.
Brett has appeared on numerous television shows over the years, including Curb Your Enthusiasm (2011), The Office (2012), Mad Men (2015) and Family Guy (2020).
He has acted in blockbuster films such as The Other Guys (2010), 30 Minutes or Less (2011) and Jobs (2013).
However, he's best known for playing Murray on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things (2017-2022) and for playing Martin on the BBC comedy series, Fleabag (2016-2019).
Brett was married to Janicza Bravo from 2015-2018.
