American socialite Kimberly Noel "Kim" Kardashian was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of the late attorney Robert Kardashian and his wife Kris Kardashian.
She is best known for starring in the E! reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians with her family. But if it wasn't for one naughty tape, she wouldn't have her instant rise of fame. In 2007, a home video of Kim and ex-boyfriend Ray J was released, resulting in a $5 million lawsuit.
Heiress Paris Hilton introduced Kim to the social scene. Her first acting role was in the TV series Beyond the Break. Along with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe she owns a clothing boutique called D-A-S-H and a number of other branded products, including nail polishes, cupcakes, clothing, furniture, books and more.
In 2008, Kim starred in the parody Disaster Movie. In December 2012, Kardashian filmed a music video for her song titled "Jam (Turn It Up)." She was the highest earning Hollywood-based reality star at an estimated $6 million.
Kim began dating NBA player Kris Humphries of the New Jersey Nets in October 2010 and tied the knot on August 20, 2011. The marriage lasted a full 72 days before Kim filed for divorce from the B-Baller. She denies her marriage was a publicity stunt to promote the family brand.
Along with Vanessa Williams she plays a role in Tyler Perry's The Marriage Counselor (2013).
