Date of Birth: November 5, 1958

Born in Marietta, Georgia, Robert Patrick was raised in Dayton, Cleveland, Detroit and Boston. He played American Legion Baseball in high school and football at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, but after sitting in on somedrama classes, he decided to quit football and pursue acting.

At the age of 25 he moved to Los Angeles, where he auditioned for and got a role in a play called Go. A casting director saw him in Go and cast him in as a psychotic biker in the film Warlords From Hell (1987). Shortly after, he landed a lead role in Equalizer 2000 (1986), a western set in the future. His first role in a major Hollywood film was in Die Hard 2 (1990) starring Bruce Willis, followed by Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), in which he played T-1000, a character he was asked to reprise in cameos in the films Wayne's World (1992) and Last Action Hero (1993). Patrick worked steadily in small or supporting roles in feature films over the next few years, including playing Demi Moore's husband in the box office bomb Striptease (1996), but it wasn't until he joined the cast of the cult hit series The X Files in 2000 as Special Agent John Doggett that he became a household name. Meanwhile, he played the supporting role of Cole in All the Pretty Horses (2000) starring Matt Damon, as well as Mr. Lisp in the hit movie Spy Kids (2001). From 2000 to 2001 he also played a recurring role as David Scatino in the hit HBO TV series The Sopranos.

Other film credits include Texas Rangers (2001) with Tom Skerritt, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003), Eye See You (2003) opposite Sylvester Stallone, Ladder 49 (2004) with John Travolta and Joaquin Phoenix. He also appeared in Trouble with the Curve (2012) alongside Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake and Gangster Squad (2013) with Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn and Emma Stone. More recently, he starred in Hellions (2015).

Patrick resides in Los Angeles with his wife Barbara and their two young children—daughter Austin and son Samuel.
