Bridgette Wilson

Date of Birth: September 25, 1973

Born and raised in Gold Beach, Oregon, Wilson followed her older sister, Tracy, into film soon after being crowned Miss Teen USA in 1990. Growing up in an education-encouraging atmosphere, she taught herself to read music and play the piano.

A year after the crowning, she moved to Los Angeles and took acting classes.

Her first acting role came in the soap opera, Santa Barbara, playing Lisa Fenimore Castillo.

She also found work in the teen series, Saved By the Bell, before her feature film debut as Arnold Schwarzenegger's pistol-toting daughter in The Last Action Hero.

Soon after, she was seen alongside Kristy Swanson in Higher Learning (1995), and in her first lead role in Billy Madison (1995), playing Veronica Vaughan, the love interest of Adam Sandler's Billy.

In 1995 she auditioned for the role of Sonya Blade in the action flick, Mortal Kombat. She lost out to Cameron Diaz, but was soon asked to fill the role again when Diaz had to drop out, due to a broken wrist.

After a couple of serious films such as Nixon , Wilson switched to horror genre with I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997). Bridgette played the arrogant Elsa Shivers, who does not survive to the final credits.

After yet another horror flick, House On Haunted Hill , she landed a role in Sally Field's directorial debut, Beautiful , co-starring opposite Minnie Driver in the story about the life of a beauty queen.

At the end of the last millennium, Wilson started dating long-time Wimbledon champion and tennis star, Pete Sampras.

The two were married in September 2000.

She is also an accomplished songwriter and singer who has completed at least two CDs -- Gimme a Kiss and I Only Want To Be With You.

In addition to her music and movie careers, Wilson is an avid supporter of MADD, American Oceans Campaign, and several AIDS organizations.
