Dominique Swain biography

This Malibu, California native grew up with her three sisters, one of whom,
Chelsea, is also an actress.
Always interested in acting, performing
in school plays, Swain's first professional gig was playing the stunt double
for Quinn Culkin in The Good Son (1993). She then auditioned for the part
of Lolita in the controversial film by the same name.
Beating out 2,500
other hopefuls, Swain played the starring role about a young girl who has an
affair with a much older man. She impressed critics and won the Young
Artist Award for Best Performance by a Leading Young Actress.
