Born in London, England, Jamie Campbell Bower has always had a love for performance. He attended the Bedales School in England which was known for its relaxed, bohemian atmosphere. Bower's parents were both involved in the music industry and as a result, Bower attended the National Youth Music Theatre, which gave him some experience in the acting and music field.
Bower's career took off when his friend, Laura Michelle Kelly, recommended him to her agent. Soon after he auditioned, Bower earned the role of Anthony Hope in the major motion picture Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring opposite Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. His breakout role began a successful career for the young actor and in 2009, he played Volture vampire Caius in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. He also appeared in the last Harry Potter films Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and II. He plays one of the main leads in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013), starring alongside Lily Collins.
In 2010, it was rumored that he was dating Harry Potter co-star Bonnie Wright. In September of that same year, Wright also confirmed that the two were engaged. They called it off a year later. Apart from acting, Jamie is also the lead singer of "The Darling Buds" as well as a part time model with Select Model Management in London.
Most recently, Jamie played a recurring role as Christopher Marlowe on the TV series Will (2017) for the TNT network.
