She landed yet another recurring role in a TV series with Mortal Kombat: Conquest for the 1998 to 1999 season. Her sixth series in a row was WB's D.C., playing Sarah Logan. In 2000, Loken made her film debut in the independent movie Gangland (2000), followed by two more independent films, Panic (2001) and Academy Boyz (2001).
From 2001 to 2002, she played the recurring guest role of A.D.A. Lisa Walensky in several episodes of the ABC-TV series Philly.
